Program Schedule:

  • Arrival Day, Sunday: Volunteers should arrive at Delhi or Agra Airport by Sunday. Volunteers will be picked up and transferred to Vraj (Mathura) by private transport or train. Orientation will be held in the evening, covering local customs, program overview, and safety instructions.
  • Day 1, Monday: Settle into traditional accommodation. Volunteers receive an introduction to Vraj’s history and spiritual significance. Begin first tasks, such as assisting in temple restoration or engaging in environmental preservation activities. In the evening, participate in a cultural activity like learning traditional Krishna bhajans (devotional songs).
  • Days 2-3, Tuesday & Wednesday: Volunteers will spend the morning helping with various community projects such as temple cleaning, guiding spiritual tourists, and teaching local children. The afternoons are spent in local spiritual practices or visits to important temples. In the evening, enjoy a traditional cultural exchange program with the local community.
  • Day 4, Thursday: Volunteer work continues in the morning. Volunteers will assist in educational programs for local villagers or help with agricultural and eco-tourism development projects. In the evening, there will be an optional visit to Barsana or Nand Gaon, known for their spiritual significance in the Krishna Leela (divine pastimes of Lord Krishna).
  • Day 5, Friday: All volunteers will be involved in a community event, such as preparing for the weekend’s local festivals, helping organize a small spiritual gathering, or contributing to charity programs for the underprivileged. Volunteers will explore Vrindavan or visit sacred sites related to Krishna’s life in the afternoon.
  • Days 6-7, Saturday & Sunday: Weekends are free for volunteers to explore Vraj and neighboring areas. Options for exploration include:
    • Eco-tourism day trip to the Yamuna River for a boat ride and nature walk.
    • Visit the Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple in Mathura or participate in a village farming experience.
    • Festival participation: If volunteers are visiting during a festival like Janmashtami or Holi, they can actively participate in the celebrations.

Volunteer Age Requirements:

  • Minimum age: 18. Volunteers aged 16-17 may apply with parental consent.
