The Darjeeling Himalayan Cultural & Community Experience offers volunteers a unique opportunity to contribute to community outreach, sustainable tourism, and cultural preservation in one of India’s most scenic and culturally rich regions. Volunteers will not only engage with local communities but also experience the rich blend of Nepali, Tibetan, and Bengali cultures in this majestic Himalayan town. The program provides opportunities for both short-term and long-term engagements, perfect for those interested in making a positive impact on a beautiful, diverse region.
Highlights
- Immerse in the sacred land of Lord Krishna, visiting historical temples and sacred sites like Vrindavan, Barsana, Nand Gaon, and Gokul
- Orientation on arrival and support throughout the program
What’s Included
- Accommodations: Traditional homestays or eco-lodges, shared or private rooms.
- Food: Vegetarian meals (3 meals per day, Monday-Friday). Local delicacies will be included.
- Transfers: Arrival transfers from Delhi or Agra to Vraj and between key sites within the region.
- Support: 24/7 emergency support, local guide, and volunteer coordinator.
- Cultural Experiences: Spiritual tours, cultural classes, and music/dance performances.
- Flights to India (can be arranged through our partners for added convenience).
- Personal expenses (shopping, optional tours).
