Located in the heart of the Negev desert is this eco-friendly village. The resort has an uninterrupted view of the Arava desert landscape: to the west is Wadi Tzofar with its overhanging cliffs and to the east are the red mountains of Edom, Jordan. The landscape of the region was formed by earth movements along the great Syrian-African rift valley and then by the effects of sun, wind, and water over millions of years. Nature has a powerful presence here, radiating both strength and tranquility. Comfortable transportation by bus on the Arava road will take you to Eilat, the Dead Sea, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
This unique eco-lodge resort is built completely by hand and from mud and local materials. The resort was created by a young family to fulfill the principles of simplistic living and close contact to the earth. Guests from around the world and within Israel, enjoy this stunning place while learning about and experiencing sustainable living.
After 10 years of hard work to build the resort, help is now needed with the hospitality aspect of caring for the guests. There is a team of three, young Israelis who would love to have your company and help, mostly with cleaning and cooking for our guests. From time to time, there is also mud work to be done, such as creating decorative sculptures, renovating existing structures or building new benches, etc.
Orientation (included): Orientation will take place in Tel Aviv on Sunday upon arrival.
